A “trek” (caminata) you may know. Trek is a verb and a noun. As a verb, here is an example:
* Every week I trek in the forest area in the north of Tenerife.
Mortals often go trekking (hacen senderismo). The word is also used in expressions. Examine these:
* I had to trek all around London looking for a top quality shoemaker (tuve que patearme todo Londres buscando…). Here the “had to trek” suggests a long walk and a lot of effort to find the shoemaker.
* It is quite a trek (a long and perhaps difficult walk) from my house to the castle. At the end of the walk you might be tired and exclaim “what a trek”.
So do you sometimes go for a trek, or go trekking?
