“Afresh” is an adverb and perhaps the closest is Spanish is “de nuevo” or “otra vez”.
Sometimes mortals decide to do things afresh (volver a hacer), to start to do something from the beginning a second time, or start “life afresh”.
At other times people want to start something or their life afresh (volver a empezar/empezar de nuevo).
Some examples:
- Each day is an opportunity to start afresh (…comenzar de nuevo).
- Perhaps now is the time to look at the matter afresh (quizás es el momento de volver a examinar la cuestión.
- I want the chance to walk away from the mess and start afresh.
