Ferry

«Ferry» (barco de pasaje) you may know. A person who works on a ferry is a ferryman (barquero), and the place where the boat docks (to dock = atracar) is a ferry terminal.
The word “ferry” is also a verb, meaning to transport (transportar o llevar).

Some examples:

• The parents ferry their children to school by car every day.

• Christian ferried (llevó) his children from the school to the opera house.

• The ship is used to ferry goods from Santa Cruz to La Gomera.
