Perhaps. “Wig” (peluca) you may know. A bigwig is an important person, and in Spanish you might use “pez gordo”. A similar expression in English might be “big fish”.
Why the word “bigwig”? Many moons ago, in the 17th century, the French King Luis X111 went prematurely bald (prematuramente calvo), and so he had a wig made. The French nobles did the same, and wearing a wig became a fashion for the powerful and wealthy (hand-made wigs were expensive). The fashion spread to England and other countries. So, if you were seen wearing a wig you were an important person – a big wig.
